Latinas in STEM's core curriculum is the Latinas in STEM 101 Conference. Focused on underserved communities, the conference provides a two-prong approach:
- Educating student participants in STEM related fields, through hands-on interactive activities.
- Educating parents so they can become a stronger support system for their daughters, understand financial alternatives to paying for college, and gain a better understanding of STEM needs in the current and future workforce.
LATINAS IN STEM 101 ONLINE
Our most recent Latinas in STEM 101 Conference was scheduled for March 14, 2020, at Alexander D. Sullivan School (PS #30) in Jersey City, NJ. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the sold-out conference had to be cancelled. Once it became clear that the Pandemic was not going to allow us to reschedule the conference in 2020, we began to explore other options. We decided that the best option was to bring our conference workshops online and make them available to everyone. Now, you don't have to wait for Latinas in STEM to come to your town, view our inspirational STEM workshops from any internet-enabled device at any time! Click the button below to access videos.
Our Latinas in STEM 101 Conferences would not be possible if not for the generosity of our volunteers and sponsors! Please feel free to wander through our video archive, photo gallery, view our sponsors, or go straight to our STEM 101 Conference by clicking on one of the links below. Enjoy!
