In the Spotlight

Welcome 2026!

We have a new student president for the Salt Lake Community College Chapter, Violet Stocking.  She is hoping to major in Chemical Engineering.  Violet says that her mom, who is from Bolivia, has been very supportive of her attending college.  Violet is a first generation college student.

At the first of the semester we have tabling events called Mega Fairs at each of our campuses.  This helps students learn about College services and Clubs.  The enclosed picture is of Violet at our West Valley Campus Mega Fair.  We are planning to give away a Barbie doll as a door prize at our first meeting.
